Unique, Safe, Love
How did you come up with the idea for this product?
I founded Ella & Iris Home in 2020, during the pandemic while thinking about my, life, the time I have left, and I how I want to be remembered. The notion of leaving a legacy was something that I never considered before. Those thoughts wandered to family and what those that passed on before me meant to me and the legacy they left. My grandmothers, Ella and Iris who immigrated from Jamaica, created a loving example of a home environment filled with food, love, and laughter that created the foundation for who I am now. They made our home unique and beautiful and a safe haven for their grandchildren. I wanted to create products that would help others create the same type of environment in their homes while honoring their legacy.
What makes your product special?
My products are inspired by memories of my grandmothers and my family's Caribbean heritage. The brand imagery is centered around the importance of family and creating peaceful and safe environments for your loved ones.
What has been the best part of your experience?
The best part of my experience has been all the people I have met who relate to our brand's values and really love and provide great feedback on our products.

This is a cute diffuser set but I am not exaggerating when I say I could not open the bottle. One the plus side it did not leak at all but the little rubber stopper was not budging for me so I had to get my pliers out. Since the bottle is glass I would proceed with caution with however you open it. It is packaged nicely in an outer box and the scent is citrus-y and the reeds that it comes with are black. There are eucalyptus leaves inside the bottle so the liquid gives off a green tinge. The scent is pleasant, not too strong, and more on the subtle side. Overall a cute reed set but it needs to be a little easier to open.
