These have really helped my system. My thermostat is on a wall that is also the return duck going up into the attic. Because of this I have never had correct reading from the thermostat, and I have had two different ones. This one you can change the reading by setting a correction value but this still did not help me. In warmer temps it needed one setting and another in cooler. It was annoying. I got these and placed one in the kitchen and the other in the living room. What I found they do is communicate with the thermostat and they create an average temperature for the house. This has made the readings much more consistent and accurate. I am much happier now and was able to remove the temperature correction from the thermostat.
They were extremely easy to set up. The are also small and do not stand out in the room. I have not had any issues with them not picking us up and detect motion well.
