SEOUL -- North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's daughter is unlikely to succeed her father given the importance the regime places on its patriarchal lineage, according to Lee Il-kyu, a former high-level diplomat at North Korea's Cuban embassy who defected to South Korea in 2023.
