South Korea's Yoon seeks deals in Central Asian resource push

Visit to Kazakhstan and other countries aimed at mineral access, less reliance on China

SEOUL -- South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol is using an ongoing visit to three resource-rich Central Asian countries to try to secure access to minerals that his resource-poor country's flagship companies need to keep producing advanced batteries and semiconductors.
