Certified “Web Guy”

Me llamo Brennan.

I live in St. Louis, Missouri.

I’m a bit introverted, but eager to help when needed.

Background

I’ve been interested in web design/development off and on since 2015.

I started out by experimenting with writing static files in my free time while holding a night job. I’d come home at 12 AM and work until dawn. This fueled my interest in how websites worked and my desire to build things. Sometimes I would work on these sites during the slow periods at my night job on my small HTC smartphone, which was fun. It would have been nice to have github.dev back then.

Nowadays, I’m a Web Administrator for Seiler Instrument. I started out there as a shipping clerk. Once an opportunity opened to work in the IT department and start a legitimate career, I took it. They had a site that was in limbo and half finished, and I was excited to work on something that would be used by so many people. The IT manager gave me a laptop to work after my normal working hours as a shipping clerk, and I was able to finish the site. After that, I learned that inheriting projects can be difficult. Currently, I oversee the operation and security of 8 separate public websites for Seiler.

Goals for 2025

  • WordPress plugin to manage a site’s CSP and SRI. (In-Progress)
  • Move into a house that wasn’t built in 1900. (In-Progress)
  • Get outside more.
