What an incredible experience at #BetterOutcomes2025 in Jersey City! The conference brought together leaders, innovators, and care providers from across the country to share ideas, explore challenges, and imagine the future of home and community-based care. We explored the future of AI and automation in home care and what it means to operationalize these tools in real-world settings. We also dug into how to better support caregivers, navigate policy and compliance changes, and use data to measure what truly matters for both quality and financial health. Other highlights included sessions on building sustainable growth strategies, unlocking new financial opportunities like tax credits, and designing technology that balances innovation with ethics and privacy. The Better Outcomes Awards gave us a chance to celebrate the organizations leading the way in outcomes, innovation, and impact, while networking sessions reminded us that collaboration across this community is the key to progress. As we reflect on Better Outcomes 2025, one message is clear: the future of home care will be built at the intersection of innovation and humanity. Together, we can design systems that empower caregivers, support sustainable organizations, and deliver better outcomes for those who matter most — the people receiving care. A huge thank you to our speakers, partners, and everyone who joined us. We’re already looking forward to continuing these conversations and building toward Better Outcomes Canada which is taking place in Toronto on October 9th! 🚀

What if AI isn't the threat everyone thinks it is? Futurist & author Tom Koulopoulos presented a compelling counter-narrative in his keynote "Reimagining Care: Thriving in the Age of AI" at #BetterOutcomes2025. While most conversations frame AI as a threat to human jobs, Koulopoulos demonstrated that in home-based care, AI actually amplifies the uniquely human aspects of caregiving. By removing administrative friction, enabling continuous monitoring, and reducing caregiver burnout, AI frees up professionals to focus on what matters most: meaningful human connections. His real-world examples of intelligent agents reshaping care delivery showed how these sophisticated systems can anticipate needs, streamline workflows, and make care more proactive rather than reactive. The key takeaway? Success isn't just about implementing technology, it's about building organizational cultures that embrace change and reduce fear around AI adoption. The organizations thriving understand that AI makes care more personal, not less. The future of healthcare isn't human vs. machine – it's human + machine working together to deliver better outcomes for patients and caregivers alike.

You can't fix workforce sustainability without fixing the caregiver experience first. 💙 Marshalina Ramos, DNP, RN (CEO, Visionary Health Group) led a vital conversation with Christian Alaimo 🦌 (Co-Founder & COO, Caribou ), James C. (CEO & Co-Founder, Nevvon ), and Melissa M. Chavez (Director of North America Operations, Checked In Care) on what it truly means to put caregivers first. From smarter onboarding and scheduling to AI tools that support rather than burden, these leaders shared how their organizations are redesigning systems with caregivers at the center, not as an afterthought. Better caregiver experiences lead to better care outcomes. It's that simple. #BetterOutcomes2025

“Washington is not going to be sending us additional dollars — so how do you employ technology to get more traction, more productivity, and happier teams?" 💡 The reality was crystal clear in this powerful policy discussion. Moderated by Kaila Raimondo (Head of US Markets, AlayaCare ), industry leaders including Angelo Spinola (Polsinelli ), Dr. Steve Landers MD, MPH (National Alliance for Care at Home ), and Timothy Hanold (Searchlight Capital Partners ) tackled the hard truths about funding, workforce challenges, and what it takes to thrive, not just survive. From diversifying lines of business to leveraging tech for real productivity gains, the message was clear: agility and innovation aren't optional anymore. They're the path forward. #BetterOutcomes2025

While some are still asking 'if,' these leaders are already asking 'how.' 🚀 Naomi Goldapple (SVP of Data & Intelligence, AlayaCare) moderated an essential conversation on preparing for the next wave of intelligent tools with Mark A. Zawodny, MBA (CIO, Care Advantage, Inc. ) and Alyssa Moy, MBA, PMP (SVP Technology Strategy, Option Care Health). From change management to intelligent decision support, they shared how forward-thinking organizations are building cultures and workflows ready for automation. This is what strategic AI adoption looks like in action. #BetterOutcomes2025
