The recent Salesforce vishing campaign that hit Pandora, Chanel, and Qantas reveals a harsh truth about SaaS security: the human element remains our weakest link. Attackers didn't break Salesforce's systems - they simply called employees pretending to be IT support and convinced them to enter device codes, gaining full access to corporate data. With only 41% of companies using MFA and sophisticated social engineering on the rise, CISOs must shift focus from just securing platforms to securing user behavior. The shared responsibility model means vendors protect the infrastructure, but we're responsible for training our people and implementing out-of-band verification processes. Well-Architected is making a comeback at Dreamforce 2025! 🙌🏻 It’s good that Salesforce listened to the architect community and opted to relaunch Well-Architected at DF25. Pretty much every major Salesforce consultancy agrees that the ecosystem is not Agentforce-ready. Inadequate data quality, inconsistent governance, ever-increasing complexity, poor end-user adoption… These are just a few of the challenges blocking Agentforce adoption. And all of the above are architectural challenges. There’s one domain in particular that needs ”well-architecting” – marketing. Marketers have needed special dispensation for implementing MarTech. They’ve used their autonomy from rigid IT governance to procure and deploy quickly. As a result, marketing is an architectural no-man’s land: – Point solutions with feature overlap – Unused licenses and features – Non-compliant integrations – Increased risk of data leakage or breach Fellow marketing architects!
