EXCLUSIVE: New Amsterdam star Ryan Eggold rounds out the series-regular cast of FX‘s drama pilot Seven Sisters. He joins Elizabeth Olsen, Cristin Milioti, Meredith Hagner, Odessa Young, Zoë Winters, Bridget Brown and Carolyn Kettig, who play the titular sisters; Philip Ettinger, who plays their brother; and Anthony Edwards and J. Smith-Cameron, who play the octet’s parents.
Seven Sisters, from FX Productions, follows a large, tight-knit family that begins to unravel when one sister, Adrienne (Olsen), starts communicating with a voice no one else can hear, forcing them to confront long-buried secrets.
Eggold will play Adrienne’s husband, a former addict, which he talks about frequently on his popular podcast.
Seven Sisters is executive produced by Will Arbery, who wrote the pilot; Sean Durkin, who will direct it; and Garrett Basch.
Following his breakout role on NBC’s The Blacklist, Eggold was tapped for the lead of the network’s medical drama New Amsterdam, which ran for five seasons. He is coming off a season-long villain arc on Season 1 of Prime Video’s Cross. Eggold also starred opposite Daniel Dae Kim in his Broadway debut in Yellow Face last fall.
He is repped by Gersh, 3 Arts, and attorney David Matlof.
He needs his own show and not this 5 minutes here or there.
I cannot wait to see this I am so excited for Ryan he’s amazing and will be great but we still want someone to bring back new seasons of New Amsterdam
I could not agree more! I’m so happy to see Ryan in something new, but bringing New Amsterdam back with Ryan, Freema, Lauren, Jocko, and Tyler would be the best!
