Help keep Reddit the most human place on the internet
Register your existing apps
If you have apps that use Reddit’s Data API, register them so people can better recognize your apps and differentiate them from human accounts on the platform. Starting January 12, 2027, we’ll begin removing API access for apps and users that haven’t registered or engaged with the Reddit Developer Platform Team. Remaining public API access will end in March 2027.
To continue, you’ll need the account information associated with your API app and a personal Reddit account you’d like to register your apps with.
Claim a porting bounty
Apps that register by November 30, 2026, may be eligible to claim a $1,000 porting bounty as part of Reddit’s $1,000,000 Developer Platform App Migration Program.
If you decide to migrate your app to Reddit’s Developer Platform in addition to registering, you’ll also be eligible to receive Reddit Developer Funds and free hosting.
