Voice + IMS in telecom has a been a journey of over 20 years. Now it is a tale of two cities: 1. All subscribers need to get moved if you wish to retire those legacy networks. 2. With AI changing everything, there is a chance to reclaim relevancy in next generation communication services that benefit from telecom, and to telecom. But both cities need to be powered by a system that can scale with crippling appliance type licensing, speed of implementation, lack of automation hiding complexity.
