exampleSite not in the directory structure of the theme?

Is there a reason the exampleSite is in a branch all by itself instead of with the rest of the theme?

I am assuming there are reasons for it why it just doesn't work combined? Just curious what those are. I have some thoughts but if there's reason why it wouldn't work then I should move on to other things.

Wrong decision made when I was younger, I wanted the repo/code size as small as possible to indicate minimalism.

Are you open to having it with the rest of the theme with mise or make (preferably mise) tasks to make it simpler to develop? Maybe even devcontainer configuration?
