LibreOffice in Omarchy 3.0.1: Spell checker not working by default (Hunspell not enabled)

What's wrong?

After installing Omarchy v3.0.1 on two different laptops, I noticed the same issue with LibreOffice Writer: spell checking does not work out of the box.

Even though several user dictionaries (e.g. en-GB, en-US) appear to be listed under Tools → Options → Language Settings → Writing Aids, the spell checker reports:

No dictionary available

when running Tools → Spelling.

Looking at Language Settings → Writing Aids → Available Language Modules, there are no modules enabled by default (Hunspell SpellChecker is missing).

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Install Omarchy 3.0.1 via ISO (fresh system).
2. Open LibreOffice Writer.
3. Go to Tools → Spelling.
4. Observe the error: “No dictionary available”.
5. Typos in the text will also not be highlighted, since the spell checker does not work.

Expected Behavior

LibreOffice should ship with Hunspell SpellChecker enabled by default, so that basic spell checking works immediately after installation.

Actual Behavior

• No spell checker is available.
• Dictionaries are shown in Writing Aids, but without Hunspell they are not functional.
• Running a spell check produces “No dictionary available”.

Solving the problem

A simple workaround is:

1. Open Tools → Options → Language Settings → Writing Aids.
2. Scroll to the bottom, click Get more dictionaries online….
3. Install English Dictionary (the first one on the list).
4. LibreOffice may freeze briefly (needs Wait instead of Terminate).
5. After installation, Hunspell SpellChecker appears in Available Language Modules and spell checking works normally.

Notes

This seems reproducible on a fresh install, so it may affect all users. Please confirm if this is a general packaging issue. If so, it might be better to ensure Hunspell (and at least one dictionary) is included by default in Omarchy builds, so spell checking works out of the box.
