The GitHub Customer Agreement applies to all GitHub Products and Support for customers who purchase directly from GitHub.

The GCA General Terms is our base agreement for corporate purchases. If you purchase GitHub through Microsoft, the General Terms will not apply to you and your Microsoft agreement will apply instead.

GitHub Enterprise Cloud
If you license GitHub Enterprise Cloud, then this document applies. If you license GitHub Enterprise (also called "GHE Unified"), then both this document and the GHES Product Specific Terms apply.
GitHub Enterprise Server
If you license GitHub Enterprise Server, then this document applies. If you license GitHub Enterprise (also called "GHE Unified"), then both this document and the GHEC Product Specific Terms apply.
GitHub Generative AI Services Terms
If you license Generative AI Services directly from GitHub, then this document applies.
GitHub Copilot [Archive]
If you licensed either Copilot Business or Copilot Enterprise directly from GitHub prior to 5 March 2026, then this document applies.

GitHub Data Protection Agreement
The GitHub DPA applies to the processing of data for GitHub Enterprise Cloud, GitHub Enterprise (Unified), GitHub Teams, and GitHub Copilot.
GitHub General Privacy Statement
The GitHub General Privacy Statement applies to the personal data that GitHub processes as the “data controller” when you interact with GitHub websites, applications, and services.
GitHub Online Services SLA
The SLA applies to GitHub Enterprise Cloud, including GHEC+EMU and GHEC+DR.
GitHub Acceptable Use Policies
The GitHub AUPs apply to all of GitHub's products to help define what is and is not permitted on the GitHub platform.
U.S. Public Sector Amendment
This addendum applies if you are a government entity located in the U.S.
Educational Institution Amendment
If you license as part of our educational programs, then this amendment applies in addition to the General Terms, the Product Specific Terms and Additional Terms.
Additional Products & Features Terms
The Additional Products & Features terms apply to use of GitHub's additional products and features, such as Actions, Codespaces, and GitHub Advanced Security.
Premium Support Terms
The Premium Support Terms apply to customers who use Premium Support.
Pre-Release License Terms
The Pre-Release License Terms apply to customers who use GitHub services that are not yet generally available, such as beta releases and technical previews.
Professional Services Terms & Conditions
The Professional Services Terms & Conditions apply to customers who order Professional Services from GitHub.
