Copy & pasting within the same Micro editor over SSH

I am using Windows Terminal. If start Micro over SSH, type something, select the text, and press Ctrl+C, it says "copied". But if I press Ctrl+V or Ctrl+Shift+V, it does not paste that text which was just copied; it pastes the text in Windows clipboard. How can I copy & paste within Micro?

The clipboard option has to be set as terminal when pressing Ctrl+C in micro in an SSH session.
