As I know XClip would not work on a Wayland session so it would potentially install bloat. |

I like many others tried copying from micro to something else, and it didn't work. I tried everything including restarting my computer thinking it was just a bug, and then after researching I finally found the tip buried in the documentation that I just need to install xclip and it'll work like it's supposed to(it did). Is there any reason such a critical component isn't installed by default? It felt like a paywalled feature, except you pay with your time and energy trying to figure out why it's not working.
And by "xclip", I just mean any software that's required to make basic features like copying work.
Off topic: For that matter, this isn't the first time I've seen a guide say install xclip to make stuff work. Why doesn't Ubuntu/linux just install it by default if it's so critical?
