Please put back "finished tasks" counter in issues

In the previous version of the Github Issues, we had a counter for the number of completed tasks in a task list, and now it's gone.

It was a useful feature IMHO, can you please put it back in Issues?

I would also like to add a couple of points around this request.

• The current documentation on this feature (https://docs.github.com/en/get-started/writing-on-github/working-with-advanced-formatting/about-task-lists#about-issue-task-lists) says that it does show the progress of the tasks on the list of issues.

• The other place that has lost the task list progress is at the top of the issue display, beside the 'Open'/'Closed' lozenge. I can't remember if it was also displayed in the project board, but would be very useful there.

• Going back to when the community requested changes that resulted in the addition of the "Task List" feature, one of the strong reasons (at least for me) was that the standard checkbox list would show as tasks to be completed (https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/5238#discussioncomment-5966859). The "Task List" allowed the normal checkbox list to not show the progress to completed UI. If the Task List no longer displays the progress then it does not really provide benefit over the checkbox list.

Given that this appears to be a regression (i.e. a loss of documented functionality), could we get a response to if a resolution to this is being considered?
