we are seeing the same thing in our build

You may have old versions of actions in your workflows.

We had a similar issue and to fix this, we went into our .github/workflows folder and incremented the versions specified in the yaml files as follows:

      - name: checkout
        uses: actions/checkout@v4

      - name: setup node
        uses: actions/setup-node@v4
        with: 
          node-version: 22

we did the same. updated all our versions to @v4 but still seeing the issue

The pain is that many of my actions use the actions/cache under the hood 🫠
So, a bunch of people will have to wait for releases of these actions bumping to the new versions

I am still facing the issue after upgrading to actions/cache: v4 :Error: This request has been automatically failed because it uses a deprecated version of actions/cache: v2.1.6. Please update your workflow to use v3/v4 of actions/cache to avoid interruptions. I also updated to actions/checkout@v4 and still facing this issue

Check if the workflow contains other actions which use an outdated version of the actions/cache NPM package.

Please update actions/checkout, actions/setup-java,actions/cache, actions/upload-artifact , actions/download-artifact to v4 and s4u/setup-maven-action to 1.18.0

I found the action that still used an old version of cache and now everything is fine.
