Feature Request: Dynamic Model Detection for AI-Gen Tags

Description:
Currently, GitHub Copilot does not have the capability to dynamically detect and insert the active model (e.g., GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, Copilot Mini) into AI-Gen tags automatically. This feature would enhance transparency and traceability for AI-generated or AI-modified code.

Proposed Solution:

• Add functionality to Copilot to dynamically detect the active model being used for code generation.
• Automatically insert the detected model name into standardized AI-Gen tags, such as:

  // AI-Gen: GitHub Copilot – GPT-4o – 2025-05-21 [Brief summary of what was generated]
  

• Ensure this works across all supported languages and integrates seamlessly with .copilot prompts.

Use Case:

• Developers and organizations using Copilot for code generation need to track which model was used for compliance, auditing, and transparency purposes.
• This feature would eliminate the need for manual updates to AI-Gen tags, reducing errors and improving workflow efficiency.

Benefits:
