Where can I find repo recommendations? It used to be on the right side of the Dashboard—it was really helpful. |

We’ve reimagined the New User Dashboard to empower users to boost their productivity and master their GitHub workflow from day one.
What’s changing
✅ More engaging and relevant onboarding content
We’ve transformed the new user dashboard by removing outdated modules and replacing them with dynamic and relevant content designed to jumpstart every user’s GitHub journey. New users will now discover the GitHub for Beginners YouTube playlist, three essential Getting Started tasks, actionable Docs covering fundamental GitHub concepts, and quick links to must-have tools. Every module is interactive and dismissible, empowering users to tailor their onboarding experience as they progress.
✅ Optimized layout so new users can focus on what’s important
To ensure new users have an uninterrupted focus on learning, the dashboard’s right sidebar will be hidden during their first 30 days on GitHub. After 30 days, the sidebar will appear and show a dynamic marketing banner and the changelog to keep users informed and connected with the latest on GitHub.
