I can't work out where or even if it's possible to view the chat history outside of the main chat window in GitHub Copilot for Xcode. Sometimes when I've had some interesting results that I want to share and discuss with the rest of my team it would be really useful if I could export an entire chat (or preferably a section of a chat) as markdown or something similar.

Is there anything I can do here? at the moment I either have to manually copy my input and then copy the output, or take screenshots ... which is very cumbersome and frustrating!

Currently, GitHub Copilot for Xcode does not support exporting or viewing chat history outside the main chat window. There’s no built-in option to export chats as markdown or save conversations for later reference. Manually copying the input and output is, unfortunately, the only available method right now. Hopefully, future updates will include better history and export features.

At the moment, GitHub Copilot for Xcode does not support exporting chat history directly as Markdown or any other format. There is also no built-in "Copy All" or export option like the one available in the VS Code version of Copilot.

The only current workarounds are:

Manually copying both the prompt and response.

Taking screenshots, which can be frustrating and inefficient for long chats.

This feature has been requested by other users as well in the GitHub Discussions and Feedback forums. Unfortunately, until GitHub implements an export or copy function for Copilot in Xcode, these manual methods are the only options.
