I bought the GitHub Copilot Pro plan for one year. It expired on June 1st this year, but Copilot didn’t auto-renew. However, when I checked, I’m still using the Pro version.

Why is it still Pro even though it wasn’t renewed?
Is there a way for me to renew it?
If I just keep using the Pro version without renewing, will there be any issues?

Regarding your Copilot Pro questions:

Why you still have Pro access

This is likely a temporary grace period after expiration. While not explicitly documented, GitHub sometimes allows continued access for a short time after subscription end dates.

How to renew

1. Go to your profile photo → Settings → Billing & licensing
2. Find the GitHub Copilot section
3. Select the option to resubscribe
4. Choose monthly or yearly billing and complete payment

Alternatively, visit the Copilot plans page directly.

Potential issues without renewal

Your access could stop working at any time without notice. When it does, you'll be downgraded to Copilot Free with its limited suggestions and no premium model access.

To avoid interruption, I recommend renewing your subscription soon.
