I’ve noticed this issue too — the notifications tab sometimes stays marked as “unread” even after checking all notifications.

A few things you can try:

Refresh the page or restart the GitHub app/browser session.

Check both “All” and “Unread” tabs — sometimes notifications get archived but still count toward the unread total.

If you’re using the mobile app, sign out and back in; this usually resets the sync state.

If the issue persists, please share more details:

Are you using the web version or the mobile app?

Which browser/app version are you on?

Does the unread count change when viewing notifications from a specific repo?

This info will help the team reproduce and fix it.
