The option to show or hide Achievements is not appearing in my GitHub Profile Settings. Because of this, I cannot manage or view my achievements.

Steps to Reproduce:
Open GitHub (web)
Log in to my account
Go to: Profile → Settings
Open “Profile” / “Public Profile” section
The “Show Achievements” option is missing

Expected Result:
A toggle or checkbox for “Show Achievements on my profile” should appear in Profile Settings.

Actual Result:
The Achievements visibility option does not appear anywhere in the profile settings.

Troubleshooting Already Tried:
Cleared browser cache
Tried incognito mode
Switched to different browsers
Logged out and logged in again
Still not working

Environment:
Device: PC / Laptop
GitHub interface: Web
Environment: GitHub Web

My achievements used to be visible earlier, but now the option has disappeared completely.

Hi!

Looking at the screenshot you shared, it seems that “Include private contributions on my profile” is currently turned off.
For some users, this setting being disabled can hide the achievements toggle.

Could you try this?

• Go to Profile → Settings → Public Profile
• Toggle “Include private contributions on my profile”
• Click "Update preferences"
• Refresh your profile page

Let me know if the achievements option appears afterward.

Also, just to confirm: did you recently convert your GitHub account (for example, from a student email to a personal one)? This can occasionally impact profile-visibility settings.

EDIT : Is there a specific reason your README file uses a .lmd extension? It might be causing unexpected issues.
