Hi,

Today all my builds on MacOS 15 Intel stopped working on the following step:

Other Macs and other operating systems are working fine - the issue is only with MacOS 15 Intel

We're seeing this on macos-latest as well (i.e., the Arm64 Macs).

Seeing this too. Windows runners are fine, all our Mac builds are broken now. For us the error gets triggered by the nschloe/action-cached-lfs-checkout@v1 action.

Edit: it seems like it's only the first push for which things my proposed fix worked, and it's now failing again.

I managed to fix (or at least get around) this in our repositories by upgrading to actions/checkout@v6.

Yeah, this was a red herring. The first push after upgrading to actions/checkout@v6 seemed to work but the subsequent ones after that still fail as before.

Seems like temporarily disabling caching for "macOS" is the only workaround for now: actions/runner-images#13341

From what I can tell there are still some runners with an older working image.

Those with macOS 15.7.1 appear to work

While those with macOS 15.7.2 appear to fail

The broken image is being rolled back actions/runner-images#13341 (comment) so this should resolve on its own soonish.

Still seeing the problem with Julia 1.12 (aarch64) and (strangely) Julia 1.10 (x64). Every other aarch64 macos run is fine.
