Hi @LnG-a, Make sure to fill in your billing info and GitHub profile with your full name exactly as it appears on your academic transcript. Then log out and log back into GitHub before reapplying, because the application system gets stuck in a loop even after the required information has been updated. If you still get rejected, submit the application using another device, such as a smartphone or another PC. If none of the above works, I recommend you contact support by opening a ticket here, select " |

I had similar issues registering for GitHub Education. What helped me was making sure my profile name and billing information matched exactly what appeared on my university documents. For the proof document, I used one that clearly showed the full name of my institution, my status as a student, and included dates confirming my current enrollment. If the document wasn’t in English, I placed it next to an English translation and took a photo of both together. After updating all my information, I logged out and logged back in before trying again. If it still didn’t work, I contacted GitHub support and explained my case. They helped me identify what was missing. Hope this helps! |

Hi everyone,
I am a TA and a master student, so I think that I am qualified to use GitHub Education. However, I tried to register for this and failed several times. The first and second times, I registered as a teacher and used my labor contract as the evidence document, but it failed like this
"- The image you selected does not appear to contain your school name. Your complete school name must appear in your document, not only the school logo. You may include multiple documents together. If your official document is not in English then you may photograph the original next to an English translation.
So it failed only because my document is not in English. Isn't it? If that's the case, so I need to translate and then take a photo with both of them?
The last time I tried registering as a student and using my master student ID card, it also failed due to this "Your document does not appear to include a date demonstrating current academic affiliation. For countries utilizing non-standard calendars, you may need to capture the original document beside one with a converted date. You may include multiple documents in your image, so long as they are legible." My card is actually written "2024-2026" but why is it not considered "a date".
I need Github Education pack for Colpilot, but it is somehow stressful to prove my position.
