Student Developer Pack Application Rejected – Need Manual Verification

Hi GitHub Education Team,

I hope you are doing well.
My Student Developer Pack application was rejected multiple times and I need help completing my verification.

These were the reasons shown:

• "Your GitHub account was too recently created. Please apply again in a few days."
• "Please ensure that your academic affiliation document contains your last name exactly as it appears in your GitHub billing information."
• "The image does not appear to contain your school name."

I am a student at ICAP (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan), which is a government-recognized educational institution.

I have the following official documents available:

• ICAP Enrollment Letter
• ICAP Admit Card
• ICAP Result Card
• ICAP Student Portal Screenshot (with full name, school name, and current academic year)

All my documents clearly show:

• My full legal name
• Complete school name (ICAP – Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan)
• My current academic status

Despite this, the system still fails to verify my application.

Could you please assist me in manually reviewing or guiding me on what else I need to submit?

Hi @Muhammad-Abdullah-Mansoor,

First, you must submit your application when your account is at least one week old.

Then, make sure to fill in your billing info and GitHub profile with your full name exactly as it appears on your academic transcript. Then log out and log back into GitHub before reapplying, because the application system gets stuck in a loop even after the required information has been updated.

If you still get rejected, submit the application using another device, such as a smartphone or another PC.

If none of the above works, I recommend you contact support by opening a ticket here, select "Other" and explain your problem.

The link leads to a 404 page. I captured a part of my transacript (cuz the camera can't take multiple pages in one shot). I was told

1. Your document does not appear to include a date demonstrating current academic affiliation. For countries utilizing non-standard calendars, you may need to capture the original document beside one with a converted date. You may include multiple documents in your image, so long as they are legible.

2. Your image contains keywords indicating that it may be an acceptance letter. Only proof of current academic enrollment is acceptable.

3. You appear not to be near any campus location for the school you have selected. Your academic affiliation documentation must indicate virtual learning if you are remote. You must configure your browser and operating system to allow location access. You may not use a VPN. If you believe that our information about your school is incomplete or incorrect e.g. missing campus location(s), then please select ‘My selected school has incorrect or incomplete information e.g. domains or campus location’ option when submitting a GitHub Education support ticket.

My application keeps getting denied. Do you have clue about how to solve it?
