when click Pick Model, no model is shown. It can work fine days ago, I am not sure why it can not work now? my vs code version Version: 1.106.3 (user setup) Commit: bf9252a2fb45be6893dd8870c0bf37e2e1766d61 Date: 2025-11-25T22:28:18.024Z Electron: 37.7.0 ElectronBuildId: 12781156 Chromium: 138.0.7204.251 Node.js: 22.20.0 V8: 13.8.258.32-electron.0 OS: Windows_NT x64 10.0.19045... my copilot version v0.33.4

Hi!

1. Make sure you’re signed into the GitHub account with an active Copilot subscription.

2. Sometimes networks or firewalls block Copilot from loading models—try a different network if possible.

3. Check that your Copilot extension is up to date.

4. Restart VS Code completely; that often refreshes the model list.

5. If nothing works, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Copilot extension.

If it still doesn’t show up after that, it might be a server-side issue, so reaching out to GitHub Support is the safest next step.

[Yongming] Yes, I signed with my account and subscription is ok.

[Yongming] The function does not work for several days, networks is not the reason. I use visual studio with copilot, it works well with same network

Since you’ve already tried all the usual fixes (sign-in, network, extension update, restart, reinstall) and it still doesn’t show any models, this does sound like a server-side issue. The best way to get help is to contact GitHub Support directly.

Im working in codespaces not vscode, and all of a sudden it started showing this for me after working on the project for over an hour... It was random. Im still logged in to my account (with active subscription), turned the firewall off, restarted codespaces(vscode, github.dev), restarted browser(edge), tried another browser(chrome), restarted windows(11) (come on, I mean thats like ...check to make sure your computer is plugged in to the wall...) It has nothing to do with vscode version or copilot version or OS since I am in codespaces, unless Github, Microsoft, or the VSCode guys push a new version of something server-side, which still doesnt seem likely to be the cause. The more likely cause is access to the models are down...the endpoints themselves are down because it also will not populate a list of models/agents to add but you can spawn a copilot agent or another coding agent, but Github Copilot just breaks. period. at random. in a split-second...like between prompts....it first came up and gave me an error with the gpt4.1 which i never selected. I was using Claude(and i have plenty of premium requests). Then I got the Language Model Unavailable.
