Verification Help & Guidance
Hi everyone,
Hello,
I'm having trouble re-verifying my GitHub Student Developer Pack eligibility and believe I may be running into an issue with the verification process itself.
Here's what I've tried:
I verified that my GitHub billing information matches my school's records exactly, including my full legal name ("James Franchino").
I initially submitted a current tuition/account statement from my college that included my full name, the full school name, the current term (Fall 2026), a current date (07/01/2026), and my current course schedule.
After that submission was rejected, I submitted my current unofficial transcript, which includes my full legal name, the full school name, and my current Fall 2026 enrollment.
The verification system has reported the following errors:
It could not verify my first and last name.
It could not identify my school name.
It could not identify a date demonstrating my current academic affiliation.
It indicated my profile information may not match my academic documents.
I've verified that my profile and billing information use my exact legal name, so these errors do not appear to reflect the information I submitted.
One additional issue is that I am unable to upload PDF or other document files. On desktop, the GitHub website only allows me to take or upload a picture. On mobile, both the GitHub website and the GitHub mobile app also only allow me to submit photos. There is no option anywhere for me to upload the original PDF documents, which may be causing OCR or document recognition issues.
Could someone please review my verification manually or advise why I'm unable to upload documents instead of photographs?
Thank you for your assistance.
