Copilot connection error in vscode

Whenever my vpn is on and I try using copilot , it shows the error in the image which Is copilot cant connect to server . Extension activation failed, self signed certificate in certificate chain. I just recently got a subscription and I hope this is resolved so that I can use what I am paying for..
