On the gist view there is a small button to Open repository with... wich offers just the 2 options GitHub Desktop and Visual Studio. The latter one actually opens the big brother Visual Studio, not Visual Studio Code.
Therefore I suggest to add the option Visual Studio Code.
I'm also wondering about the naming. A gist is just a snippet, not a repository.
