It says it was done so that I can find more of the things relevant to me... none of the things I see now are relevant to me. All I used the old home page for was to see if people star or fork my repos, followed me, and what the people I follow are doing.

I agree with you. I want to cancel my account and I need to know where the account settings are to do it. Can you help?

not to mention the fact that there are fewer (useful) things displayed on the screen, but the new design makes these things unreadable

i genuinely would not even mind a new feed like this but please give an option to stick to just a following feed that only displays updates from things you watch & people you follow

Just to be clear, my issue is not with the design/looks, github has been changing things recently and it looks better. My issues is that I don't want to see updates to repos I starred a decade ago.

No, its not what it appears like, the real reason is that, the feed is not correctly updates, since the people stars are missed.
