Applications are open for the U&I Fellowship 2026–27. As a Fellow, you'll run a full city, leading a team of volunteers, driving programs that reach 200+ students, and juggling partnerships, people, and problems, often all at once. It's a 2-year commitment by design: Year 1, you build, break, and learn. Year 2, you lead, scale, and leave a legacy. If you want instructions and constant supervision, this isn't your fit. But if you learn fast, take ownership, and care deeply about people and systems, this could be the most consequential two years of your career. You'll walk away with leadership credibility, real people-management skills, a network for life, and a career story that stands out. Open now for folks based in Bangalore, Mangalore & Delhi. Ready to manage outcomes, not tasks? Applications are open https://lnkd.in/dBaXmRaR #Fellowship #ApplicationOpen #EarlyCareer #Opportunities

"I'm thankful to you because of you, I'm able to write my name in English." She said it in Kashmiri, a 14-year-old girl. She'd been brought in to help with cleaning and household chores. But when our volunteers walked in to teach, she was determined to learn too. Her first question to the teacher: "What are we starting with?" She didn't know a single letter of English. So the volunteer made her a promise, one letter a month, no pressure, no rush. Take all the time you need. That patience changed everything. Once she realized there was no pressure to keep up, she leaned in fully. A few months later, she walked up to her volunteer and said thank you, because for the first time, she could write her own name. Most of us don't remember the day we first wrote our name. She always will. Want to be part of stories like this? Learn more about our work and how to get involved: https://www.uandi.org.in/ #uandi #Volunteer #Community #impact

You've done the hard part. The community research. The partnerships. The implementation plan. The impact data. But none of that matters if it doesn't survive the boardroom. Building a strong CSR programme and building a case that boards approve are two completely different skills. And most CSR leaders are only trained in one of them. Learn how to do it right. A volunteer joined U&I planning to stay only for two months, just to support a friend. Three years later, she's still there. Because of a 13-year-old girl in the 4th standard who knew only three letters! Rather than accept that the child was "struggling to learn," the volunteer set out to find her the right teacher. She interviewed over 200 people across Guwahati before finding a final-year medical student willing to make one simple promise: to give his best. He swapped conventional teaching for storytelling and games, and learned to read her rhythm, pulling her back in with interactive sessions whenever she lost focus. Today, that same child reads full sentences. This is what U&I's model is built on: real impact doesn't come from changing a student. It comes from changing how we reach them. The CEO is in the room. Your CSR proposal is ready. But is it ready for them? There's a difference between a strong CSR case and one that survives a boardroom. Join us on 22nd July to learn what that difference looks like. What does hands-on learning look like when 30 volunteers bring their energy to it? At U&I Trust, we found out with the volunteers from Thomson Reuters India. On June 19th and 20th, the Thomson Reuters India volunteers didn't just show up at our learning center, Ajitha Nele. Day 1 was all about creation. Volunteers rolled up their sleeves to design interactive learning tools like Career Galaxy, Future Me Toolkit, SpeakUp Studio, Money Mission, and STEM Lab materials. Resources that would soon come alive in the hands of our students. Day 2 was where it all clicked. Volunteers ran science experiments and broke down the concepts behind them, guiding students through genuine hands-on discovery. They also led a financial literacy session using the Money Mission toolkit, helping students build real-world money management skills. The result? Students walked away with sharper curiosity, stronger communication skills, and a better grip on problem-solving and financial awareness. And the Thomson Reuters India volunteers walked away having built something that will keep teaching long after they left the room. This is what skilled volunteering looks like. Not just showing up, but showing up to build. Want your team to experience this kind of impact? What happens when volunteering feels less like an event and more like a family visit? This is exactly that. Volunteers came together with their own families, spending quality time with 85 elders. There were conversations, stories swapped across generations, and a lot of laughter. One volunteer brought their mother along, who picked up her veena and played for the elders, filling the room with music. She then led everyone through a short 5-minute meditation, speaking gently about why stillness matters as we age. By the end of the day, it wasn't the volunteers who were checking their watches, it was the elders asking when they'd come back. And the volunteers already asking the same thing of us. This is what corporate volunteering looks like when connection meets care. Want your team to create moments like these?
