Amit Nanda shared thisWhat started as a way to celebrate Prime members has grown into a massive, multi-day event that showcases the best of Amazon: world-class deals, innovative launches, and a customer experience like no other. And this July, Prime Day 2025 is back—bigger, bolder, and better than ever. Behind the scenes, it’s all about teams dreaming big, planning meticulously, and delivering with heart. From our sellers and partners to every single Amazonian working behind the curtains—this is our Super Bowl moment. The energy is building. The plans are bold. And the goal is simple: delight every Prime member, everywhere. Let’s make this the biggest and best one yet! https://lnkd.in/gjCCV_-Y #AmazonPrimeDay #PrimeDay2025 #AmazonIndia #TeamAmazon #DeliveringDelight #LeadershipAtAmazon

Amit Nanda shared thisFascinating to read about Samir Kumar's incredible 25-year journey at Amazon - from joining as a young engineer in 1999 to leading Amazon India today. One quote particularly resonates: "Take it easy. We hire a lot of type A people who want to quickly jump in and start delivering. In your first few months, go spend time with tenured Amazonians... If you get a deep understanding of what Amazon's Day One culture is all about, you will be a very successful Amazonian in the long term." As we look ahead to 2025, I'm excited to see Amazon India's focus on innovation - from ultra-affordable shopping to AI-powered seller tools, while staying true to its core mission of empowering Indian businesses and delighting customers. Congratulations, Samir Kumar, on this remarkable milestone! https://lnkd.in/gruF2X8C #Leadership #Innovation #DigitalIndia #AmazonLearning, pivoting and returning: Samir Kumar's 25-year journey with AmazonLearning, pivoting and returning: Samir Kumar's 25-year journey with Amazon

Amit Nanda shared thisAt Amazon India, we believe work should fit into your life—not the other way around. That's why the Amazon Flex program is designed to give delivery partners across 65+ cities in India the power to choose when and how they want to work. Whether you're a student preparing for exams, a homemaker looking for income during free hours, or someone exploring side gigs—Flex is built around your schedule. Stories like that of Sachin Shinde, a UPSC aspirant from Pune, show the real impact of flexible work. He's able to support his family while staying focused on his dream of becoming a civil servant. It's about income. It's about dignity. And above all, it's about choice. https://lnkd.in/eCMEXzPUDelivering packages with Amazon Flex—here’s everything one needs to knowDelivering packages with Amazon Flex—here’s everything one needs to know

Amit Nanda shared thisBehind every delivery that reaches your doorstep is an individual who braves weather, traffic, and countless challenges. While we celebrate the convenience of e-commerce, it's important to think about those who make it possible. Today, I'm proud to announce a significant step in supporting delivery partners across India- the launch of 10 Ashray rest centers across Delhi NCR. What does an Ashray center mean for a delivery partner? • A cool space to rest during peak summer hours • Clean drinking water when they need it most • Mobile charging stations to stay connected • Basic medical support for their wellbeing • A moment of respite during their challenging day What makes this initiative truly meaningful? These centers are open to all delivery partners, regardless of company affiliation. Because supporting those who keep our cities moving goes beyond just amenities, it is about human dignity. This is just our first step. By 2025, we aim to have 100 such centers across India. After all, the future of delivery isn't just about packages - it's about the people who deliver them. #ProjectAshray #DeliveryPartners #FutureOfWork #AmazonIndia https://lnkd.in/gXziMQmz Abhinav Singh, Liju Thomas, Dr Karuna Shankar Pande ( He /His/ Him ), Manisha Patil (She/Her/Hers), Brian Huseman, Ashwini Samraj, Kriti AshokAmazon India to expand Ashray rest centres to 100 locations by 2025Amazon India to expand Ashray rest centres to 100 locations by 2025

Amit Nanda shared thisAt SPS, talent flourishes beyond business metrics. Our recent Town Hall showcased this perfectly, as colleagues stepped out of their business roles to share their artistic passions with us all. The SPS Band brought the house down with their exceptional musical performance, while our dance ensemble delivered a high-energy showcase that had everyone moving. Special mention to Pranav Koundinya, whose engaging MC skills kept the energy high throughout the event. What makes these moments special isn't just the entertainment - it's seeing our colleagues express themselves beyond their day-to-day roles. It reminds us that great teams are built on bringing our authentic selves to work. Proud of every performer who graced the stage and made this town hall memorable. Mithali shared her remarkable journey from breaking stereotypes to leading the Indian cricket team with resilience and grace. Her thoughts on leadership, perseverance, and staying grounded despite success deeply align with our own path at Amazon. Her story reinforced a powerful truth: real leadership isn't just about personal wins - it's about lifting others as you rise. Amit Nanda shared thisHonored that Amazon India has again been recognized among LinkedIn's Top 10 Companies. While recognition is welcome, what truly matters is what drives it - our commitment to building exceptional careers. At Amazon, we believe in removing barriers to growth. Whether through internal mobility programs or initiatives like Svasthya and Samridhi, we're invested in our people's success. From technology innovation to operations excellence, every Amazonian has the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while continuously growing their capabilities. This fourth consecutive recognition reflects what we value most - enabling our people to think big and perform at their best. We're introducing zero referral fees on products under ₹300 across 135+ categories and up to 90% savings on selling fees for the second unit when shipping multiple items together. Amit Nanda liked thisAmit Nanda liked thisIt takes time for some things to be at their best. What was just an idea about a sort of culture we could do with, is now over 120 people strong today. It’s a bunch of the hardest working people in the industry trying to create advertising that’s un-ignorable when it’s put up out there. It’s about hundreds of trophies that we walk past on our shelves every day, with three ‘of the year’ titles and a Grand Prix Effie’s somewhere amongst them today. It’s a pain in the butt every day, it’s the tantalising thrill of a great idea getting bought every day. Enormous is a fine twelve years old today. Amit Nanda liked thisAmit Nanda liked thisToday marks 10 years since the passing of my father Joe Remedios. Growing up I had a ringside view to his journey in the corporate world. As one of the early graduates from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta he chose to join Coats largely because he was fascinated by the recruitment process. One evening, all potential recruits were invited for drinks at the bar in the Club, followed by a sit down dinner while being observed by a psychologist whose presence they weren't aware of! Whatever the rationale, I'm glad he chose to build a career in what was then J&P Coats. My first encounter with the organization's culture was as a 8 year old staying in the manager's quarters in Kochadai, Madurai and attending the company school, Vikaasa. The company had spared no effort to build a world class school for all its employees to compensate for whatever locational disadvantage a small temple town created. No matter who your parents were, when you walked into Vikaasa every child got the same treatment. Whether you were a laborer in the Mill across the road from the school or the President living on top of Pasumalai, your child got the same attention and education. I spent 7 formative years of my life in that school. Looking back, it was an almost Utopian world. Needless to say, many generations of children benefitted hugely from this investment that the organization made for all their employees. If the organization you work for cares enough to secure the future of your children... spend your whole career with them! My father did just that. More recently, 5 years after my dad's passing the current leader Dr. Rajesh Lakhanpal reached out to ask for a few pictures from his career. In an age where executives are forgotten the moment they are no longer of utility to the organization, this video and the gesture speaks volumes of the culture and character of the organization. If the organization you dedicated 40 years of your life to, honors you long after you have passed, then you know you got your choice of employer right! Great choice dad!

Just two days later, my journey with brands, consumers, and value chain began in a yeast factory in Chiplun, a small town in India. 15th September 2025 — 26 years to the day, I’ve been entrusted by the Board of Unilever with the privilege of becoming Chief Financial Officer of this great company. To all the wonderful leaders, colleagues, and friends who have helped me grow — both professionally and personally — my deepest gratitude. Under Fernando Fernandez's leadership, we are reshaping Unilever to deliver consistent volume-led growth and to create desire at scale through superior functionality, aesthetics, and sensorials. Amit Nanda liked thisAmit Nanda liked thisI had the privilege of being part of the organizing team for the GCC Innovation Summit 2025, held on 13–14 September, at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, as a Manager at Outreach Cell, IIT Kanpur The summit brought together industry leaders, government dignitaries, researchers, deep tech startups, and investors to discuss how Global Capability Centers (GCCs) are evolving from delivery hubs into true innovation powerhouses. I am grateful to have witnessed meaningful conversations on the future of innovation, R&D, and collaboration, and to meet so many passionate people across industry, research, and startups. I had the pleasure of connecting with Rajesh Kumar Ojha, Azam Khan, Sandeep Sharma, Dr Vibhuti Aggarwal, D Anil Kumar and Vivek Jha, whose insights left me thinking deeply about the evolving role of GCCs in India. A special thank you to Jai Shankar Sharma, Babita Lohani, and Tarun Bhargava for spearheading this effort, the summit truly wouldn’t have been possible without them.

Amit Nanda liked thisProud to be part of this incredible initiative that’s making a real difference in the lives of blue-collar workers.Amit Nanda liked thisMind explaining to someone that our second-best-performing SKU is a delivery job, after Curry. But that happens when your customer is a migrant gig worker, and your platform isn't built to sell products but to make savings. On Nia Studio, workers "shop" for: a) Jobs (Nia Jobs) b) Housing (Nest) c) Food (Curry) d) Services (Pulse) Because what matters isn't a cashback coupon—it's whether they can send ₹1L home after a year. Recruitment used to be about selection. Now, it's about being selected. In a supply-constrained market, we don't chase workers. We give them choices—like any serious e-commerce platform would. This rethinks needed product minds unburdened by HR orthodoxy. That's why we turned to IIT Kanpur. Anisha, Shivansh, Kumar Shubham, Shubh, and their mates are architecting something powerful—a ground-up interface where gig workers can earn, spend, and save. It's not a job board. It's not a benefits portal—a migration engine. Because the gig worker isn't a cost line, they are the customer. Nia Studio is their app to make the city their own. Follow to see how India's migration supply chains operate — and how they can be rebuilt. Marketplace Company Lt Col Pushkar Raj( Veteran) Col Rajmeet Singh YSM Ankita Sahu Amisha Shah Sonu S. Amit Nanda liked thisAmit Nanda liked thisThe last week at IFA Berlin and Kind + Jugend in Cologne was a reminder of how connected the world is, yet how different every market can be. Almost every brand we spoke to knows that Asia is where the growth is. Two and a half billion consumers. Sixty percent of the world’s young population. The magnet is obvious. But what makes Asia attractive also makes it complicated. Every country here has its own rules, consumer behaviour, and platforms. What works in one market can fail completely in another. That’s the gap we’re trying to bridge at Opptra — making it simpler for global brands to build, sell, and grow in Asia. We had the chance to share our thoughts on the IFA Dream Stage, on “Winning Asia with AI” with Binny Bansal and Elisabeth L'Orange. But the real highlight was the conversations off stage — with partners like Rob Sutton from Tower, Janek Davitashvili from Bergner, Louis Hoffstein from Delta Children and many others who’ve seen both the opportunity and the challenges up close. These trips remind me that winning in Asia isn’t about quick plays. The scale is unmatched, but it takes patience, humility, and a willingness to adapt market by market. That’s the only way global brands truly succeed here. Aniruddh Soory Umar Ameen Rahul Gupta Vedanarayanan Vedantham Diksha Lahoti Bhawana Bothra Chandru Kalro Umesh Gupta Hari Vijayarajan Opptra

Amit Nanda liked thisAmit Nanda liked thisWhen we left HUL, we never thought that we will start a B-School. We were very convinced that traditional MBA education was broken and not preparing students for digital and AI first careers. And that we have to do something about it. But we always looked at it as a need for better instructional design leading to better learning outcomes leading to better career outcomes. We underplayed the role of environment in learning. Along the way we realised that learning a new skill is hard. On a screen (mobile or laptop), learning is competing with Netflix, Instagram reels or maybe even email. The truly motivated people will find a way to overcome this distraction and learn. But that wasn’t me when I was 22 and I doubt that is the median or even the 75th percentile learner. Transformative change needs an environment that stimulates motivation and curiosity. That is what B-Schools do and in early 2023 we decided to commit almost 66% of the capital we had to building Altera Institute. Because we would need to go offline if we wanted to build the gold standard of business education for today’s world. We started off with lofty dreams and mission statements. Our first two cohorts saw limited intake (<70 students combined). But our belief always was that in education Product needs to be much ahead of Marketing. It is not ads bring in quality students but word of mouth through high quality learner experience and outcomes. We stayed the course and for ~2 yrs we kept doing the hard things - getting in good students, teaching them and facilitating impactful learning experiences. The outcomes followed with many of India’s most desirable recruiters hiring from the institute. Cut to this year, Altera Institute has admitted 135 quality students many of whom left admits in baby IIMs, XIMB, IMT and the like to study here. And our belief in showing up everyday and doing the right thing relentlessly is stronger than ever. The two photos below were taken almost two years apart on the start day of our first and current cohorts. More than the progress at the Institute, they capture our ageing and weight gain 😂

Amit Nanda liked thisAmit Nanda liked thisOn the way back post a very energising and busy 3 days with my team in Bhubaneshwar , Cuttack and Kolkata as we prepare in earnest for the upcoming Pujo festivities in the Eastern part of the country . Left with a few underlying affirmations : A) The Domino’s business rests so deeply on the quality and ownership of our Store Managers . We are who we are because of what they do everyday in our stores for the brand and our customers B) India is changing so rapidly . The quality of new malls and the brands in these malls with high quality collections , the road infrastructure and the consumption story of young emerging India in some of our cities outside the metros is staggering . I get taken back to my childhood in small towns where the occasional trip to MG Road or Sadar Bazaars in countless towns were our only go to places ! C) The realisation that Operational excellence trumps strategy every day in every store with every order and that “ Being boring and Being disciplined about rituals is beautiful “ and that we will only keep winning when we are Operationally strong and rigour oriented ! D ) Finally , I am always personally touched with the human stories I am privileged to hear . A team member walking 4-5 kms everyday to work a shift and then taking the courage to ask me on when she will grow to be a store manager to our geography leader cooking at home for 17 people himself to gather a team to open a store on a Sunday in a remote location ( when nobody asked that of him ) to the creativity of team members to grow business and improve the customer experience to those stories of personal dreams over dinner ! I am truly honoured to be one of them …
