1 · Camera
2 · Projector
Move it to the projector and press F there for fullscreen.
3 · Calibration
Projector: flashes markers into the corners; drag the yellow corners afterwards to fine-tune. Laser: after a 3 s countdown (shown on the projector), wave the laser around inside the projection for 4 s — thresholds and dot size are learned from it.
4 · Detection
Thresholds are set by Calibrate laser; tick show advanced options to tune them by hand.
Anti feedback loop: strokes in the laser's colour (incl. the green parts of rainbow) are masked out of the detection, so the projected drawing can't be mistaken for the laser. Shown in blue with show detection mask.
Reflections: the tracker keeps following the blob nearest to the previous position and prefers the brightest one; a new stroke only starts after the dot is seen in 2 consecutive frames.
5 · Drawing
Smooths the drawn line itself (moving average + curved segments) — kills the zigzag of a jittery laser track without adding lag. Position smoothing in Detection filters the live position instead.
Scales every effect: how much wet ink drips, how many sparks, how big the flames, how hot and how long the burn glows.
Burn: strokes leave permanent scorch marks — a dim brown, soft-edged discoloured halo around an unlit core; the tip glows white-hot for a moment. Scan surface photographs the wall through the camera (projector blanked) so the halo is textured with the wall itself and the marks look like they are in the material. Needs calibration.
Laser menu: hold the laser in the dashed ☰ circle (in the chosen corner of the projection) to open it; hover an item to select. move menu in the menu cycles the corner.
