      My most important role was in facilitation. An engineering organization in hyper-growth can sometimes be a pretty uncommunicative place. I filled a gap by becoming an expert with the different levels of architecture, so I could provide value by staying current and acting as a knowledge proxy for the teams that worked on our distributed tracing components. The tracer teams are usually very detached from the backend technology and providing knowledge about ingestion, processing and analysis accelerated our movement significantly.

      That's what I got me the Instana collaboration value award.

      While in the engineering role, I made key-contributions to:
      * our eBPF probes
      * our OpenTelemetry integration
      * inception of our serverless ingestion with AWS Lambda as first supported runtime
      * maturing the serverless ingestion by introducing more runtimes like Google Cloud Run and AWS Fargate
      * interim engineer for our PHP tracer (C code base)
      * Our tracers in Java, PHP, C, Ruby, Python, Go, NodeJS, DotNet (Full Framework & Core) and their related backend technologies
      * shipping the Instana Agent to Mainframe architectures
