Bynapp is a unidirectional communication channel between schools and families, easy to use and secure. Allow schools immediately inform of student day-to-day to the parents.

Similarly, schools can share with family events on the calendar, documents and the daily menu.

Bynapp saves time and money to schools while improving the perception that parents have of the school.

GerApp is a mobile application that allows you to create a channel of communication between geriatric and family. Relatives receive notifications on their smartphones, with the residents status.

GerApp let you know what the patient has eaten, the daily progress, among others. It also allows you view the history of notifications.

We have started the project with a comparative analysis and a proof of concept about XMPP servers and web and mobile clients of the market, with the purpose of enhancing the presence systems and chat mechanisms of UOC's virtual campus. Thus, the students and teachers of the university will be able to use their favourite chat client to interact with others users. Furthermore, it will provide a flexible and extensible mechanisms to manage the presence and communication between users.

In order to develop these projects different methodologies will be applied such as Scrum in order to manage the projects properly and eXtreme Programming technics as development technic. Show less

SportALERT is an application designed by inLab FIB, Barcelona School of Informatics’ innovation and research laboratory. The aim of the app is to monitor the movement of athletes through its smartphone location. The application is able to detect unplanned stoppages, and if so, activate an alarm. In case that the athlete does not stop the alarm, a message with your location is sent to the previously established contacts. The application development is based on inLab FIB’s experience in the creation of sport tracking applications.

The sportALERT application has been specially designed for people who practise sports alone without other people, thus, with sportALERT is much easier to contact family and/or friends if any incident happens during the sport activity.

SportALERT monitors the movement of the athlete using the location of the smartphone. The application trigs an alarm if the location has not changed within a certain period of time. That period of time can be configured by the user; this way the application adapts to the different sports profiles.

The application also allows customizing its behaviour by defining when the SMS message must be sent or which of the defined contacts will also receive the athlete’s location in the message.

Furthermore, sportALERT has a quick button to call emergency services for help immediately. As this button calls the emergency number, it includes a protection against accidental activations. Show less
