Artist Studio

The Innovation Studio + Store hosts a six- to eight- week Artist Residency, during which, the artist develops and creates work, interacts with the public, and shares about their artistic practice and process.  Drop in to meet the artist, learn more, and even, engage in making some art alongside them.

Current Artist in Residence: 

David Amoroso studied Commercial Design and Photography at NVCC. He is a self-taught painter who has exhibited in the DC Metro area, New York, California, Mexico, and Central and South America. His work is frequently highlighted in community cultural events, festivals, and Smithsonian programs. 

Residency Dates: July 14 – September 28

Tuesdays, 10am – 12pm: Young Explorers

An early childhood drop-in program for young children and their caretakers

Wednesdays, 6:30m – 7:30pm: Wellness Wednesdays

Reset midweek. Each Wednesday has a different focus:
1st : Intuitive Art Making / 2nd: Meditation & Breathwork / 3rd: Qi Gong / 4th: Community Wellness / 5th (when there is one!): Sound Bath
