Author Justina Luther here! Getting my feet under me with all the lessons that come with being published has been a learning curve, to say the least. I wouldn’t trade it for anything, though. Believe it or not, #2 of my Step into Darkness series, Gut Check, is now on preorder in ebook and live in paperback! I’ll be sharing a bit more about that next week, but in the mean time, I wanted to share a scene from my debut novel Would You Have Believed Me? in case anyone here isn’t sick of me talking about it yet. haha What can I say? I’m excited!
Excerpt from Chapter 10 of Would You Have Believed Me?:
1:40, January 12 Adnerba, Ohio.
Naked trees dance with the wind, the sun shining bright and making the world outside the SUV look deceptively warm. Glancing at the car’s thermometer, Justine sees that it’s only 34 degrees. It’s supposed to be our coldest night yet.
Taking the off ramp to the lake, she lets her mind drift, her memory navigating the well-worn path without trying. Pulling into a parking spot, she grabs her gear from the back seat and heads for the shoreline. Read the rest of this entry »
