Picture this: you just signed up as an Amazon seller, but you didn't intend to sign up for the Professional selling plan. You wanted to sign up with Individual selling plan but instead you were charged $39.99. What gives? 🤔
Don't worry!
If you would like to sell on Amazon without the monthly Professional plan selling fee, you can switch your selling plan to Individual and instead pay a fixed per-item fee when the item sells. You can switch between the two selling plans at any time.

You are also potentially eligible for a one-time refund of subscription fee that was charged to your account. You are only eligible for that one-off refund if you have not used any professional tools or benefits within 90 days. Once you've successfully downgraded, simply contact Seller Support requesting reimbursement of the Professional selling plan fee of $39.99 by following this link. 💰

What if I don't want to sell on more than one store?
If you have been upgraded to a Unified Account and do not want to sell on another store, keep the store switcher on the country on which you originally registered. Your products will only list on that store.
What fees will I pay if I sell something using my Unified Account?
For all per-item transaction fees, you will pay the fees applicable to the store in which the item was sold. Your monthly Professional selling plan subscription fee will be allocated to each North American store in which you have active listings on your monthly billing day, and will be limited to USD 39.99 or its equivalent in total. @CR_AmazonThis is not accurate. That $39.99 fee gets split between selling regions.
If we take your example in dollars ($), this will be a North American account. These accounts are automatically enrolled in Canada and Mexico. Therefore you wont ever see a fee for $39.99, you will instead see 3 separate charges:
1. One amount in dollars
2. One amount in Canadian Dollars
3. One amount in Mexican Pesos
We have experienced with these fees being charged on different days and without notes about the payment. Only after digging into our account did we find this was the case. Additionally, there is no way to change this.

You are correct. This is outlined above here. Should you only be selling in the US, remove listings from your other regions and set those on vacation mode and you will then only be charged $39.99 for the US store.
