Opt-Out? Your account will be migrated to DD+7 on March 12
I did not ask for this. I did not agree to this. I want to be opted out.
Amazon do not pretend that any of asked for this. You are merely wanting to hold our money for an additional 7-14 so you steal more of it. It's obvious you want to collect the interest for the additional 7-14 of hold our money. If you want to hold our money, you need to start paying us interest on it. This will just be used as another way for Amazon to allow buyers to steal from us. Amazon you need to start paying your own bills around here. Stop leaching off 3rd Party Sellers. You lost your lawsuit and were forced to pay $2,500,000,000 to the customers you scammed. Except now, you are making your 3rd Party Sellers pay for your mistakes.
I do not authorize you to hold my money longer.

This is JUST another money grab, so it's highly doubtful they will 'let' anyone opt out.
A bigger SNAFU arises from the tax reporting implications:
You sell product x, it hopefully gets delivered safely AND on time. The customer files a claim that it was never delivered, Amazon instantly refunds them like they always do and you are SOL.
Customer keeps product and gets purchase refunded, Amazon keeps YOUR money for a week after it is delivered and loses nothing. You, meanwhile cannot even claim this as a loss on your taxes, because the money changed hands so fast, it was never in your possession to begin with.
How about the end of year sales? You sell a TON of product this holiday season...and Amazon increases your reserve level (which they claim is to cover the chances of charge backs, returns, etc.) takes MORE money out of your pocket and you cannot even claim the sales on your end of year taxes...because it now rolled over into another taxable year. As the saying goes- "What a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive"
Plan accordingly and look for other platforms like we did, this place 'jumped the shark' long ago...

They already hold our funds for 2 weeks accumulating interest on it. The funds being held for 2 weeks were paid by credit card and deposited in Amazons account at sale.
So now you want to hold the funds 2 more weeks (ship 7 days + 7) for a total of 4 weeks on all sellers? I can't imagine how much interest you will earn on our funds. This should be illegal as you are literally hijacking our funds.
And not to mention the accounting night mirror, the additional hours of labor you are forcing on sellers to get their records straight. And the cash flow issues associated with this change.

I got the same email - why are they doing this? What is the point?
And what about Amazon Business orders? We already have to wait two months to get paid for those orders, do we have to wait even longer now?

Even worse for those of us who sell small items under $10 and don't use tracking. Guess we all know when our last day here is.

Yeah hopefully you noticed a pattern in the last few years where things are going.

DD+7 is a payout policy used by Amazon that stands for “Delivery Date plus 7 days.” It means that Amazon holds a seller’s funds for seven days after an order is confirmed delivered before releasing those funds for disbursement.
🧾 How DD+7 Works
Order placed: January 1
Delivered: January 3
Funds available: January 10 (Delivery + 7 days)
This delay allows Amazon to:
insure the customer has time to receive and evaluate the product
Accrue any fees or costs associated with the order before payout
Align the payment cycle with confirmed delivery
