Terms of Service

The rules governing SerpBase accounts, prepaid credits, API access, payments, and support.

Effective date: 2026-08-25

Acceptance and authority

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the SerpBase website, dashboard, APIs, checkout flows, documentation, and support services. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

If you use SerpBase for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Accounts and security

  • Provide accurate information and keep it current.
  • Protect passwords and API keys and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for ensuring your users comply with these terms.
  • We may require verification or restrict access to protect users, the service, or third parties.

Permitted and prohibited use

Use SerpBase only in accordance with applicable law, published documentation, and technical limits.

  • Do not bypass authentication, rate limits, credit accounting, or security controls.
  • Do not disrupt the service, probe vulnerabilities without written permission, distribute malware, or interfere with third-party systems.
  • Do not use the service to violate rights or law, or submit data you are not authorized to process.
  • Do not resell, mirror, reverse engineer, or provide shared access beyond your purchased rights without written approval.

Credits, orders, and taxes

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, SerpBase uses prepaid credits. Credits are a limited contractual right to submit eligible requests; they are not money, stored value, or transferable property.

Prices, credit quantities, taxes, and provider fees are shown at checkout. Credits are added after confirmed payment and are consumed according to the pricing displayed in the product or documentation when a request is made.

You are responsible for applicable taxes except taxes imposed on our income. Promotions, bonus credits, and gifts may have separate conditions and no cash value.

Standard credit lifecycle

Standard purchased credits do not have a calendar expiration date. They remain available while the account is valid, the service continues to support their use, and you comply with these Terms. Credits are not cash, are not redeemable for cash, and do not create a deposit or ownership interest.

If we discontinue the service without suspending or terminating your account for your breach, we will provide a reasonable opportunity to use remaining standard purchased credits, migrate them to a replacement service where practical, or otherwise address their unused value in a reasonable manner. This does not require cash redemption where another fair treatment is available or where law permits otherwise.

Starter Boost subscription

Starter Boost is a monthly subscription that renews automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled. The subscription benefits and any period-specific credits expire at the end of the applicable billing period and do not roll over unless the checkout or order terms expressly say otherwise.

You may cancel future renewal through the available account or provider controls. Cancellation stops later renewals but does not itself refund the current or a completed billing period; refund rights remain governed by the Refund Policy, provider terms, and applicable law.

Consumption rates and future pricing

Credit consumption rates may differ by endpoint, feature, request type, or underlying delivery cost. We may adjust those rates prospectively by updating the product, pricing page, or documentation before the new rate applies; credits already consumed are not recalculated.

We may also change prices for future credit purchases and future subscription renewals. A price change does not retroactively change a completed purchase. For an automatically renewing subscription, the new price applies only to a future renewal after any notice required by the checkout provider or applicable law.

Custom quotes, order forms, and priority

Unless a quote states otherwise, a custom quote is valid for 30 days. An unsigned quote, proposal, email, forecast, or discussion does not reserve capacity and does not create a fixed renewal price, service level agreement, minimum term, or other long-term commitment.

A signed order form may add or change commercial terms for the services it covers. If a signed order form conflicts with these Terms, the order form controls only for that conflict. Emails and unsigned quotes do not override these Terms or a signed order form.

Capacity, rate limits, and service levels

Buying a large quantity of credits does not reserve requests per second, dedicated capacity, or priority processing. Customers expecting high traffic should provide reasonable forecasts and coordinate with us; we may apply or adjust rate limits, concurrency limits, queues, or other safeguards to protect reliability and fair access.

Self-service plans do not include an uptime, response-time, support-time, throughput, or other service level agreement. Any SLA or reserved capacity must be expressly stated in a signed order form.

Third-party search services and results

SerpBase relies on Google and other third-party search, data, network, and infrastructure services. Their availability, interfaces, policies, blocking decisions, and result formats may change without our control and may affect the service.

Search results and related data may be incomplete, delayed, duplicated, changed, unavailable, or inaccurate. We do not warrant ranking, coverage, freshness, legality for your intended use, or fitness of third-party results, and you remain responsible for reviewing and using results lawfully.

Payments and providers

Checkout and payment may be handled by a third-party payment provider or merchant of record identified at checkout, including Paddle, Creem, or a successor provider. Its buyer, payment, tax, fraud, and refund terms also apply.

We do not store full payment-card numbers. You authorize the identified provider to charge the selected method for amounts disclosed at checkout. Chargebacks or reversals may result in removal of associated credits or account restriction while the matter is investigated.

Refunds and failed requests

Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy, applicable law, and the payment provider's buyer terms. Used credits are generally not refundable except where required by law or provider policy.

A credit restored for a service-side failed request is an account adjustment, not a cash refund. Report duplicate charges, missing credits, or billing errors promptly to support.

Service operation and changes

The service may depend on upstream search, infrastructure, and payment providers. Results, coverage, timing, and availability are not guaranteed. Maintenance, limits, interruptions, or provider failures may occur.

We may change or discontinue features, prices, limits, or integrations. Changes do not retroactively reduce credits already purchased unless necessary for security, law, provider requirements, or prevention of abuse.

Intellectual property and feedback

SerpBase software, branding, documentation, and site content belong to SerpBase or its licensors. You receive only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service under these terms.

You retain rights in data you submit and grant us the rights needed to process it and operate the service. If you provide feedback, we may use it without restriction or compensation.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, nonpayment, fraud, abuse, legal or security risk, or harm to the service or third parties. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure.

On termination, your right to use the service ends. Provisions that should reasonably survive—including payment, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions—remain effective.

Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SerpBase is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunity. Aggregate liability relating to the service will not exceed the amount paid for the affected service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where exclusion is prohibited by law.

Legal terms and contact

You must raise claims within the period required by applicable law. These terms do not select a governing law, court, or arbitration forum; mandatory law and otherwise applicable conflict-of-law rules determine those matters.

If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remainder remains effective. Failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. We may update these terms prospectively by posting a revised effective date. Questions may be sent to [email protected].
