ACES GALLERY
OCTOBER 17-NOVEMBER 8 | DOWNTOWN SEATTLE | 805 1st AVE
Every year, ACES // Artists of Color Expo & Symposium is shaped by the artists and BIPOC community members who contribute their time, creativity, and support. This year, ACES builds on the Summer Series workshops and concert with the opening of the ACES Gallery, an extended pop-up open to the public for 8 days, from October 17 to November 8, in downtown Seattle.
The ACES Gallery expands Shunpike’s efforts to activate vacant downtown spaces with art and creativity. Nestled between Pioneer Square and Downtown, the gallery will be open during the Downtown Fourth Friday Art Walk on October 24 and the Pioneer Square First Thursday Art Walk on November 6.
The gallery will feature work from 50 local artists, each sharing stories of identity, culture, and perspective through their art. Alongside the exhibition, we are excited to bring back community favorites and new opportunities, including:
- THE CYPHER – Three rounds of live art-making under a shared theme, where artists draw inspiration from one another and create a cross-medium dialogue. Scheduled for Friday, October 17 – Saturday, October 18. >>RSVP<<
- ARTIST SALON – A live studio conversation with featured artists, offering the public a deeper look into their creative journeys. Scheduled for Friday, October 24, at 6 pm. >>RSVP<<
- ARTIST DEVELOPMENT SERIES – Relaunching this year with practical workshops and resources designed to support artists in building sustainable careers. Scheduled for Wednesday, October 29 (Registration Required, space limited!) >>REGISTER<<
