Remix Rising 2025

In the Northern hemisphere, as autumn rolls in, and the sound of hot summer nights become a sweet memory, it’s the remixes of our favorite tracks that so often stick out in our minds. In 2025, more and more of the biggest stars across the genre spectrum — from chart-topping pop artists to R&B vocalists and indie musicians — have linked up with dance DJ/producers to reimagine their hits, bring new audiences to their sound and leave an impression on the dancefloor.

In 2025, a new generation of acts have broken through and shifted the popular music axis. Grammy Award-winning Sabrina Carpenter, with her delightfully retro style, is a breath of fresh air; Tate McRae, a powerhouse of dance, vocals and live performance, draws from Y2K icons like Britney Spears; Dua Lipa’s love for house and disco shines through in her productions; K-pop idols continue to evolve, like JENNIE in her record-breaking solo project; and Lola Young’s trashy girl power anthem speaks to a new generation. They all got the remix treatment this year, expanding their reach and giving room for creative DJ/producers to put a fresh spin on their tracks.

In their natural territories of the club dancefloor and festival crowd, dance acts have also kept up the time-honored tradition of the remix, blending genres and styles with flair. Festival draws like John Summit and Alok have broadened their scope, working their magic on pop and house music. And then there’s the experimental underbelly of dance music, with some ambitious remix work. Vegyn dropped a remix album for Air’s classic album ‘Moon Safari,’ Anyma took on FKA twigs’ sensual avant-pop and UK garage legend MJ Cole stuck a bumping groove on UK vocalist Jorja Smith’s tender, jazzy vibe.

Dive into this collection of tracks — featuring remixes of Lady Gaga, KAYTRANADA, MK, Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris and more — and hear how strong the remix game has been in 2025.
