Install third-party apps from Chrome for iPhone and iPad

On your iPhone or iPad, you can install third-party apps directly from websites in Chrome.

Important:

• To use this feature, your device must be iOS 17.4 or iPadOS 18, or later.
• This feature isn’t available in all countries or regions at this time.

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome .
2. Go to a site that lets you download apps via a third-party marketplace.
3. Tap the link to install it.
4. Before you can continue the installation of a third-party marketplace for the first time, you need to allow installations from it.
   1. On the “App Installation” dialog, tap OK.
   2. Open your device’s Settings app.
   3. At the top of the settings page, tap Allow Apps From [Developer name] Allow.
      • If you have a passcode, enter it.
   4. After you allow the installation, to install the app, go back to the site in Chrome .
   5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
5. On the site, tap Install Install App Marketplace.
   • If you have a passcode, enter it.
6. Open the third-party marketplace app and download an app.
