OPR Senior Editor Ming Kit Wong interviews Charles Taylor, the Professor Emeritus in the Department of Philosophy at McGill University. OPR's Ming Kit Wong speaks to Professor Quentin Skinner, the former Regius Professor of Modern History at the University of Cambridge, and current Barber Beaumont Professor of the Humanities and Co-director of The Centre for the Study of the History of Political Thought at Queen Mary University of London. In this wide-ranging interview, Skinner discusses the history of the Cambridge Texts in the History of Political Thought series, his method of historical contextualism and its connection to political realism, the relationship between intellectual history and the present, and the genre of autobiography.  This episode was recorded on the 18th of August, 2022.
