Alex Zenla co-founded Edera in April 2024 to change the way software and AI models are run and secured. Only 25 years old, she started learning about hypervisors and hardware technologies at 7, got involved in low-level systems and began contributing to the Chromium and Chromium OS projects at age 11, and was invited to Google I/O in 2012 by the Chrome OS team (met Sundar). She soon got involved in the Dart ecosystem, where she contributed to the language and standard library and built core open source technologies. At 14, she was hired by IoT company DGLogik to build an IoT platform that could scale across complex networks. She then joined Google where she worked on IoT platform security for its internal Real Estate. In 2024, she retired from the IoT data sphere to found Edera, where she’s translated her IT security expertise to make cloud computing and AI secure by design.
