Senior Director, Technical Production Charlotte Winter and VP, Head of Multisport Content Steve Rudge took the stage at #LeadersWeek London to share how IMG is reinventing sports broadcasting for a global audience.
Using examples from the Esports World Cup, CBS’ Champions League coverage, and the FIFA Club World Cup, Charlotte and Steve showcased how innovation can meet evolving audience expectations and redefine the ‘studio show’ as an engaging, authentic experience.
Reflecting on one such show, EWC Spotlight, Steve highlighted the importance of connecting with fans in a genuine way:
“Audiences and fans see through gimmicks very quickly. It was important for us to create key moments, so we took inspiration from creators and casters on how to retain engagement. Learning from that was powerful.”
Additionally, Charlotte reflected on IMG’s ability to adapt to partner and audiences demand, reflecting on our work, partnering with DAZN for the FIFA Club World Cup:
