It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas... Announcing our fantastic brand new partnership with Golden Tours | Gray Line London Starting from 22nd November, THE SNOWMAN afternoon tea bus will take guests around the glorious sites of London, whilst enjoying a magical Snowman themed afternoon tea. The bus will also drop off any groups visiting The Snowman stage show, making for a fantastic day out. Huge thanks to Dominic Wong and Mikesh Palan for bringing the partnership to life

It's time for our Creative of The Month, where we celebrate and platform Penguin Cover Design Award alumni! 🎨    This month we're celebrating Karin Keratova, who was awarded third place in the 2024 Cover Design Award Children’s category, where she redesigned the cover of ‘City of Stolen Magic' by Nazneen Ahmed Pathak.    Karin is an illustrator and designer 🎨    ‘I love creating whimsical, heartfelt stories. I enjoy experimenting with textures and colours, and children's books are a particular passion of mine. Earlier this month, we hosted our first in-person Lit in Colour Teacher Conference! 🧑🏫✨ Over 120 teachers and educators joined us at The British Library for a day of inspiring workshops, thought-provoking discussions, author keynotes, and practical tools to help bring more books by authors of colour into classrooms 🧡 The day included talks and workshops on: 📖 Brilliant collaboration between libraries and English departments ✍️ South Asian writing in Britain from the 19th to 21st centuries 📚 Celebrating representation and encouraging children to see themselves in books 🗣️ Handling language and race in the classroom ✨ The legacy of Black British literature from the British Library archives 📄 The annual Reflecting Realities report 📝 Creative writing sessions to build confidence in teaching culturally expansive poetry.
