Johnny Bridges reposted thisJohnny Bridges reposted thisAdopting new digital infrastructure is a significant undertaking for any broker or carrier. It requires strategic thinking, careful implementation, and ongoing support from people who genuinely understand what you're trying to achieve. That's exactly what Artificial's Client Success team is here for. We spoke with NATALIE HAZELTON, Holly Millar and James Elliott about what the role involves day-to-day, from how they collaborate with clients to the impact they have across each partnership, and what makes this an exciting time to join the team. Johnny Bridges reposted thisJohnny Bridges reposted this👋 I'm hiring Product Designers and Design Engineers to join my team at Artificial Labs! Here's a little flavour of how we operate and what we care about: ⭐ Design and experience as the differentiator. There's genuine backing for design across the business—we are an active voice in product and commercial strategy, not just the people who put a lick of paint on the work at the end. 🚢 Ship. Our whole team ships code — you'll often go end-to-end: receive customer feedback, prototype solutions, discuss with the team, then raise and merge a PR. 🌐 Remote and async first. Our HQ is in London, but we've built the team to be remote-first, with a focus on deep, uninterrupted work. 🤖 Using LLMs intelligently. Despite what our name might suggest, Artificial is a technology company, not an AI wrapper business. But as a team, we're continually learning and pushing each other to stay on top of the changes ripping through our industry. If you're not excited about AI — knowing how and when to use it — this may not be the team for you. 🚀 Hard work; sustainable pace. We're a Series B scale-up building complex technology for demanding enterprise customers. We take sustainable pace seriously—no 996 culture here. But there's an inherent intensity: high ambiguity, hard problems, high stakes. We're looking for people who are drawn to that challenge. 🔨 Prototype in code. Although we still use Figma for sketches and explorations, our primary communication medium for the last 12+ months has been the coded prototype — often with an explainer video and written note. Rather than debating what might work, we build to find out. Apply at https://lnkd.in/eBfVmtMp

Johnny Bridges reposted thisJohnny Bridges reposted thisSince our $45M Series B raise earlier this year, our focus has been on building the team that will help us deliver on our ambition. We are hiring across a number of functions as we invest in our product, support our customers and scale sustainably. It’s an exciting time to join the business, and we are looking for capable people who want to be part of that journey. We care about the quality of what we build and the way we work together. That means creating a culture where expertise is valued, ideas are shared openly and people are trusted to do their best work. Johnny Bridges shared thisToday we’ve announced our $45m Series B. For the uninitiated, commercial insurance is built on expertise, judgement and trust. But the tooling and infrastructure it trades on haven’t evolved at the same pace as the risks or market. Our goal is to give the market future-proof infrastructure that it can rely on. Infrastructure that reflects how insurance is actually traded, and that scales with confidence rather than abstraction. At Artificial Labs we’re building the digital trading rails for commercial insurance that sit silently underneath the market: core infrastructure that structures risk, codifies underwriting intent and placement strategies, and enables brokers and carriers to trade with clarity, control and confidence. I’m grateful to CommerzVentures, Move Capital Fund I and our existing investors Augmentum Fintech, 6 Degrees Capital, Force Over Mass and TrueSight Ventures for their continued trust and support. I also want to thank the brokers, carriers and market participants who work with us, often quietly and over long time horizons. Many of these partnerships aren’t public by design, but the depth of collaboration, scrutiny, and trust behind them has shaped the platform more than anything else. Finally, I’m most proud of the team: our most valued asset. This milestone reflects years of disciplined execution, deep domain understanding and a refusal to take shortcuts. Now we keep going. We’re hiring engineers, product leaders and operators who want to work on systems where correctness, determinism and trust matter more than demos, and where the software becomes part of how a market actually functions. If that resonates, we’d love to hear from you – https://lnkd.in/eUcwW6a9 David King Edward Howkins Elizabeth Wooliston Martin Reith #seriesb #fundraise #investment #artificial #smartunderwriting #smartplacementJohnny Bridges shared thisWe are delighted to announce our $45M Series B funding round, led by CommerzVentures with support from Move Capital Fund I and existing investors 6 Degrees Capital, Augmentum Fintech, Force Over Mass, and TrueSight Ventures. Johnny Bridges liked thisWhen Mark Geoghegan describes a discussion as "mind-expanding", it's worth paying attention. Thanks Mark, for a great conversation. While the discussion covers digital placement, the bigger story is how our industry can evolve to create more value for clients, unlock new sources of capital to serve client needs and drive growth across our industry. That's a future worth building. 🎧 Worth a listen: https://lnkd.in/djp_fwgX #insurancepodcast #change #digitaltransformationJohnny Bridges liked thisNEW EPISODE: BUY-SIDE GUARDIANS When you connect every broker to every underwriter at the touch of a button, phenomena such as oversubscription are only going to become more acute. Brokers are going to have to manage flows of premium for better continuity of capital and get better at explaining quality and value over pure price, because a race to the bottom isn't in the client's long-term interests. The Leader-Facility-Follow broking model future is arriving and the logical consequences are far-reaching. Fascinating must-listen podcast with Aon's Clyde Bernstein. Johnny Bridges liked thisJohnny Bridges liked thisWe brought the whole Artificial team together this week for our first ever global summit, with people flying in from across the world for a day of building, connecting, and a few well-earned drinks on a sunny balcony in Covent Garden ☀️ Over the last 6 months we've welcomed 60 new faces. That growth is something to be proud of, but it also means that days like this matter more than ever. We witnessed the power of new starters meeting OGs and remote teams working together in the same room. Teams came together to build actual prototypes: gamifying how we learn about the insurance market, new ways to stay connected across time zones and teams, and tools to help new joiners hit the ground running. Then it was all about 3-minute pitches to share what we'd built. Thanks to everyone who made our first summit such a success! #artificial #teambuilding #globalsummit #insurtech

In the episode, she and Laura Witcher dig into why visibility matters more than ever, and why it's a skill you can learn rather than a personality trait. They also look ahead to how technology and AI will change the way insurance works, and why relationships will always sit at the heart of the industry. We couldn't agree more! For many professionals, visibility feels uncomfortable. You don’t want to sound arrogant. You don't want to self-promote. So you keep your head down and hope your work speaks for itself. But in today's workplace, visibility does not happen by accident. In this episode, Laura Witcher speaks with Georgie Simister to explore how you can build your profile authentically, create meaningful relationships, and open doors to opportunities you never expected. Topics include: 👉 why networking is a skill anyone can learn 👉 how to build your personal brand without feeling "cringe" 👉 why sharing what you learn is more powerful than trying to impress people 👉 how AI will change insurance and what will matter the most in the future One quote from Georgie really stood out: "Growth starts by being willing to feel uncomfortable." Whether that's attending your first networking event, publishing your first LinkedIn post, or simply introducing yourself to someone new. 🎧 Episode 101 is now live on Spotify and Apple. Why Digitizing SMEs Is Not a Tech Problem Think of any busy street market…you don’t just show up and sell, no! First, you bargain on trust because you’re sized up, doubted and maybe even insulted. Then, if you hold your ground you’re allowed to trade. This is exactly how most SMEs relate to digital tools. You walk in with your shiny app and clean UI, they nod, smile, then go back to their notebook😂 Every new tool enters a space that’s already negotiated by word-of-mouth credit, handwritten ledgers, and cousins who deliver stock on trust which means you are not replacing paper but displacing relationships and relationships don’t leave quietly. So when a shopkeeper asks, “What if the network fails?” they’re not asking for reassurance, they’re watching how you respond under stress and here the real negotiation isn’t happening in your onboarding flow, it’s happening in their head, with memories you haven’t earned the right to overwrite. They are not anti-tech, they’ve just seen this too often with Apps that vanished, support teams that ghosted and promises that collapsed under real-world pressure. So you must remember that people are not waiting to be “converted.” They are weighing you, will this tool protect me when things go wrong? Will it still work when the power’s out? Will it still be here next year? And until we learn to stay in that negotiation to return, revise and absorb the pushback, we’ll keep building tools people nod at, but never truly let in. And no one is coming back for what they never agreed to. #TechForAfrica #SMEs
