Culture in East Devon
Culture is a somewhat problematic term. People know what to expect when they talk of cultural inheritance, but what makes today's culture. Is it the re-living of old traditions, or is it the forging of new ones? Perhaps to answer these, take a look at the landscapes of rolling patchwork hills, and the river and coastal walks. Savour the delicacies of cream teas, fudge, and scrumpy. Experience the excitement and mayhem of the events of East Devon, including the famous flaming tar barrels and hot coin catching, or step back in time with festivals of folklore celebration.
